School Equipment Drive

The new school year has begun. For a number of years, Beth Israel has supported Franklin Elementary School. This year, we learned that Franklin is in need of some materials for their students: headphones and Lego building sets for learning support and winter hats and gloves for the students in the colder weather.

Beth Israel would like to continue to help in a small way. Click here to look at the SignUpGenius for the specific items requested. Please remember to specify the delivery method so we can keep an eye out for the item(s). If you have no time to shop, we gladly accept donations through Venmo (@Cassylam) or Zelle (cassandra_lam@hotmail.com).

Community Shabbat Dinner

We are kicking off this year's monthly Shabbat dinners! Our first one will be September 5 at 6:00 pm. Please join us in this wonderful Jewish tradition for a dairy community dinner (with kid friendly options) accompanied by candle lighting and motzi as we come together for Shabbat! 

​

Bring your friends to share the evening of joy, peace and warmth of Shabbat! An $8 donation per person would be greatly appreciated.

Teen Haverim Program

 

​

Introducing our new Teen Haverim program, open to all 8th through 12th graders! This program will be held approximately twice a month on Sunday mornings from 10:00 – 11:30. We will focus on hands-on projects and activities that will teach our students about helping the community while also reinforcing a strong connection to our Jewish community and feeling proud to be Jewish! Our first meeting will be on Sunday, September 7th. This will be our first day of religious school. We ask all interested families (and their teens!) to stay after our opening day breakfast to brainstorm ideas for our exciting new program! Cohen Family Religious School

From monthly Parent-Child Workshops through B.I. High, our Cohen Family Religious School offers fun programs for all ages! We also have special Shabbat services, concerts, and activities throughout the year! Click here for more information.
