Beth Israel Trustees Year-End Report

The Trustees have approved the following prices effective April 1, 2022, for items under our purview:

 

• Cemetery Lot Member price - $850 (currently $750)

• Cemetery Lot Non-Member price - $3,700 (currently $3,500)

• Tree of Life Leaf - $126 (no change)

• Tree of Life Boulder/Rock - $1,000 (no change)

• Yahrtzeit Plaque - $306 (no change)

Members can purchase cemetery lots at any time and the price includes perpetual care. Perpetual care consists of mowing and weeding of all lots. Care and maintenance for monuments or headstones is the responsibility of the purchaser. The low member price is a benefit of membership at Beth Israel. However, once purchased the lots are not transferrable nor can the Trustees “buy back” lots if circumstances change. Charitable gifts of unused lots back to Beth Israel will be accepted and an appropriate receipt will be provided for tax purposes.

 

We are seeking members to serve with us on the Cemetery Committee. Interested volunteers can help us organize maintenance, contribute improvement ideas and learn how to mark graves for the excavators. The time commitment is as much or as little as you'd like to provide - there is something for everyone! The Cemetery Fund is available for maintenance and improvements at the cemetery.
