Reminder: Please join us this Friday morning, August 29 at
8:30 am. Cantor Rubinstein will be
leading a 30/40 minute service in observance of the first year anniversary of
her husband Ross Breitbart’s Yahrzeit. A
bagel breakfast will be served immediately following the service.
Reminder: Shiva will be observed for Louis
Glazer, father of Harold Glazer on Thursday,
August 28 at 8:00 pm at the home of Harold and Linda Glazer.

becomes a Bar Mitzvah. Congratulations
to the Senft family. Friday night services will start, at 8 p.m August

Beth Israel's Second Annual Community Yard Sale is
scheduled for Sunday October 19. Save and bring all those
family treasures you no longer need. The Men's club will be selling
kosher hot dogs and drinks!

Saturday, November 1 will be our third annual Monte Carlo Night. Please
save the date.
REMINDERS:
Dues statements were
mailed out the end of June. Please
remember to send in your payments to the office. Also religious school tuition must be paid
prior to the first day of school which is on September 7.
The High Holiday
booklet was mailed out. Please remember
to return the High Holiday Seat Request form.

Meyers will be collecting new and gently used books for his Bar Mitzvah,
Mitzvah Project for the McNeil Children’s Lending Library. The drive will be from Wednesday, September
10 to Sunday, November 2. Please open
the attached flyer for more information.

Sisterhood is once again sponsoring the annual New Year’s gift bag fund
raiser. Please find attached the letter
and list of members. As a matter of
clarification, with the new tiered pricing, for example if you purchase 12
names at $36.00 which comes out to $3.00 per name, then each additional name up
to the next tier will also be $3.00 per bag.

The
Sisterhood Book List is also attached for 2008 – 2009. The first book Darkness at Noon: a Novel by Arthur Koestler will be
discussed on Thursday, September 18, 7:30 pm at Beth Israel.

Youth Choir will be forming. The first
rehearsal is Sunday, September 14 at 9:15 am.
